I am a Licensed Acupuncturist (CA & HI) in private practice in the California bay area. My first experience in treating addiction was as a student at Meiji College in 1998 helping a young man get off crack. Since then, much of my work has been in treating people with chronic pain, anxiety, depression, trauma, and addictions using Traditional Chinese Medicine and Japanese style Acupuncture. I became NADA certified as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist through Susana Mendez at Homeward Bound, a dual diagnosis treatment & recovery center in Dallas. Then, in 2009 I attended the CARA Brain Chemistry for Recovery Conference and was introduced to amino acid and nutritional therapeutics. I now combine NADA style acupuncture with amino acid therapy and mindfulness training for many of my patients living with and recovering from stress, trauma, mental health issues, pain, and addictions. My passion is helping people transform suffering for a higher quality of life.
